Promise from the Bible

Hebrews 10:36 - For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.


Reflection - We have need of endurance to be sure, but that very need is fulfilled by virtue of the promise itself. We await that long-promised eternal and heavenly rest of Christ, and yet, as all the redeemed are already secured in the heavenly promise, so their perseverance is guaranteed. Even onto the end of the age!
